Century Rayon thrashed Sahyadri Krida Mandal

On 12th October 2015, Century Rayon thrashed Sahyadri Krida Mandal 4-0 at St Xavier Football Ground, Parel in the 1st Division of Mumbai District Football Association. Three goals right in the first half was enough for Century Rayon to end Sahyadri Krida Mandal any hopes of making a comeback.

Century Rayon right from the Referee whistle started to dominate Sahyadri Krida Mandal, the latter’s wing backs were exploited properly by Century Rayon.

It took just fifteen minutes for Century Rayon to open the scoring. Shabam Linglong scored the opener as he was set on goal by Sagar Bodekar. Linglong’s neat finish from the top of the box was enough to give Century Rayon an important lead.

Just minutes after scoring their first, Century Rayon scored another through Thatchan Vashum who slotted it home from Sumit Bhosale’s low cross. This turned into a dream start for Century Rayon.

On 29th minute, the provider of the first goal Sagar Bodekar made it 3-0 for Century Rayon as Guljar’s ball caught Sahyadri Krida Mandal’s defenders napping, taking the opportunity Sagar comprehensively scored past Sahyadri’s goalkeeper.

The half-time score stood 3-0 in favour of Century Rayon, making them the obvious favourites for the division 1 clash.

The second half proved to be less destructive as compared to the first half.

The only goal of this half came just eleven minutes after the break when striker Shabam Linglong scored his second of the game when he tapped Thatchan’s cross into the net.

This merciless performance by Century Rayon enthusiastic players has already send a message to other teams in Group C of Division 1.
