Arihi Uchela tricks as KSA thump Central Railways

Karnataka Sports Association (KSA) produced a stellar performance as an Arihi Uchela hat-trick powered them to a 5-1 win over Central Railways in the Elite Division of the Mumbai District Football Association (MDFA) at Cooperage on Monday afternoon. KSA dominated the game from the first whistle and never allowed Central Railways to get a foothold in the game.

Arihi Uchela started for Suresh Mendon’s side after beeing in and out of the team and repaid the faith shown in him by his coach as he fired KSA in front in just the 16th minute with a well taken goal. KSA looked the sharper of the two sides throughout the half, but didn’t make the decisive openings to run home their superiority.

After an even last few minutes of the first half, KSA made it 2-0 on the stroke of half time as Max Hanlen send his shot into the back of the net to completely have KSA in the driver’s seat at half time.

However things became interesting in the second half when an improved Central Railways outfit pulled a goal back in the 60th minute through Sumesh Nair and set up a cracking last thirty minutes. But KSA’s Nigerian hitman had other ideas and restored KSA’s two goal cushion five minutes later with a superb center forwards goal.

Central Railways then had to chase the game hard and left spaces for KSA to further increase their lead and they did just that in the 85th minute when KSA’s Arihi Uchela completed his hat-trick. But it was to get better for KSA as Patrick Mascarenhas made it more comprehensive for KSA by adding a fifth goal which completely decimated Central Railways.

It was yet another top performance from KSA as the goals once again flew for the men in red and white stripes. Arihi Uchela once again proved that he remains the best forward at the club after he scored the second hat-trick in the MDFA Elite Division, with the first one coming against Central Bank of India last season.
