2nd edition of ‘Umbro Cup’ kicks off in Mumbai

Trouble Makers Academy U-16 (Girls), Childhood Academy U-12, Don Bosco U-14 and Childhood Academy U-16 advance.

Mumbai, 30th October 2015: Shemchui’s hat-trick helped Trouble Makers Academy register a 6-0 win over Shriram Vidyalay C in the inaugural match of the U-16 Girls category in the 2nd edition of ‘Umbro Cup’ 2015, played at Cooperage Football Ground in Colaba, on Friday.Shemchui got good support from Tricia and Mili Doshi, who scored two and one goal respectively.

In the U-12 category, Childhood Academy defeated JBCN International by 4-0. Shubham and Yash’s brace helped the team win the match against JBCN International. Both Yash and Shubham were well supported by his team which helped them win the match convincingly.

In the U-14 category, Don Bosco HS, Matunga won the match 4-0 against JBCN International. Two remarkable goals by Castle and one goal each by Kieth and Boris, gave their team the win in the U-14 category of ‘Umbro Cup’.

In the U-16 category, Atul Ghodke’s four goals for Childhood Academy gave his team an easy 4-0 win against Chheda Nagar Football Fantastic. Atul was well supported by his team and didn’t miss out on any opportunity of scoring. Chheda Nagar Football Fantastic tried their best but could not get on the score scheet.

Mr. Henry Picardo, Team Manager, Mumbai FC inaugurated Mumbai leg of the Umbro Cup. He is an ex-Indian International Footballer and has played for prestigious I-League clubs like Air India.
