MDFA 2nd & 3rd Division: The Sports Gurukul wins courtesy Kader Tadvi’s hat-trick
Football leaders Academy & India on track settle for draw in 3rd division with Ruffians FC winning in another game while TSG & FCM pick wins in 2nd division
3 October 2017, 3rd Division:
In a third division Group D encounter, Ruffians FC (A) faced Vipul Gorai FC with the former winning the contest propelling them to the top of the league. Nishant Singh struck the opening goal in the tenth minute of the game to put Ruffians in front. Despite Vipul Gorai FC’s best effort the team failed to find the equaliser and in the end Ruffians managed to take this advantage as the double the lead in dying moments of the game through Nishant to make it 2-0.

In the other third division fixture, Football Leaders Academy faced India on track for a Group I encounter. Both sides placed in mid-tables came out with a point after the match ended at a goal less draw with side managing to find the net.

4 October 2017, 2nd Division:
In the first second division game of the day, The Sports Gurukul blanked Fire Dragon FC with a 3-0 score line riding on Kader Tadvi’s hat-trick. Opening the scoring in the 12th minute, Kader doubled the lead few minutes before break. In the middle of second half, Kader scored his third to complete his hat-trick and give his team a 3-0 win.
Game 3: The Sports Gurukul 3 (Kader Tadvi 12’, 29’, 56’) – 0 Fire Dragon FC
In the second game, FC Mumbaikar (A) faced Youth Soccer Academy for a group c fixture with the former snatching a 1-0 win. Adhitya Swami’s strike was the different between the two sides as FCM go top of group C table with two wins in two games
Game 4: FC Mumbaikars (A) 1 (Adhitya Swami) – 0 Youth Soccer Academy (Mulund)
In the final second division, Hugh Fernandes Academy faced Naseeb Reloaded (KNFC) for a group D fixture that saw seven goals exchanged till full time. Shoaib Shah opened the scoring for KNFC before Abhishek Nayak pulled things back on level terms in 26th minute as both teams entered at break on level pegging, But early in the second half Sharique Khan put KNFC back in front before Brendon Ronaldo doubled the lead. however Mandar Vetkar pulled one back in the 53rd minute. Just when it looked Hugh Fernandes Academy will make a comeback in the dying moments, Naseeb fired two back to back goals to finish the game at 5-2 score line.
