His journey spans work with schools, colleges, universities, Maharashtra State teams, the American School of Bombay, and national and international bodies such as AIFF and FIFA and also as a player for the Central Railway. This depth of experience forms the backbone of GIFA’s philosophy—combining modern coaching methods with strong values and long-term player development.

About Agnelo Fernandes:

Agnelo Fernandes is a seasoned football coach and educator with over 28 years of experience across playing, coaching, scouting and coach education. An AFC ‘A’ Licence coach and former AIFF–FIFA Talent Identification expert, he has worked extensively with schools, state teams and elite institutions, bringing a strong grassroots focus and professional footballing standards to Goal India Football Academy.

Vision: From Local Grounds to Bigger Stages
The long-term vision of Goal India Football Academy is ambitious and clearly defined:
• Nurture and develop players for Thane Youth League teams across age groups
• Feed talent into Thane District, Maharashtra State, and AIFF Youth League teams
• Within 2 years, establish GIFA’s own teams in AIFF Youth Leagues
• Within 4–5 years, help players progress to professional clubs and ultimately the Indian National Team

This clear roadmap underlines the academy’s commitment to sustainable and result-oriented development.
