India U-17 world cup squad humiliates Strommen’s U-16 side 7-0

The India U-17 World cup squad currently on Norwegian exposure tour  has left us in awe with their magnificent performance before against  second Division Norwegian Club Ullensaker’s U-16 Team  3-0 and Norway’s Stabaek FC U-16. This time defeating Norway’s first division Club Strommen’s Under-16 boys 7-0.

The squad began with confidence, following a free-kick curled inches wide the target by Sanjeev Stalin in the 9th minute. Only minutes later  Hendry Antonay’s cross into the box found Stalin, putting India ahead by 1-0 at the first half.

The squad picking up where they left with Saurabh Meher capitalizing on loose defending and ran through on goal, thanks to Ninthoinganba Meetei’s excellent through ball. Only a replica of the wide free kick before by Stalin, Meher was not able to convert the goal. Aman Chhetri whirling the ball home making it 2-0 for India. Only after few minutes, Lalengmawia making it 3-0, ending any chances of a comeback by the Norwegian side. Lalengmawia had some unfinished business.

In the 80th minute, Lalengmawia went on to score his 2nd goal for the day, India leading 4-0.Nongthongbam Singh Joysana home the ball in the 86th minute to make the scoreline  5-0.Adding two more goals in the dying minutes of the match, Komal Thatal and Gaston D’Silva getting on the scoresheet ensuring an astonishing win, final time scoreline being 7-0.
